Can I find all of your products online?

shelf / life likes to keep ahead of the pack, constantly scouring the globe for new goodies to display in our bricks and mortar store. We try our very best to update our online store with the latest finds, but if you see something you like on our blog or in a magazine and can’t find it online feel free to drop us an email at info[at]shelflife.com.au and we’ll be happy to help you out.

What if an item appears to be ‘sold out’?

Feel free to contact us at info [at] shelflife.com.au for more details. Be aware that sometimes designers will release seasonal ranges or limited edition pieces.

How do I pay for my purchase online?

Payments can be made directly from this store or though PayPal. shelf / life accepts Visa, MasterCard, BankCard or payment via PayPal. Your order will not be dispatched until payment is received in full.

How secure is my online transaction?

This store has an industry standard 128 Bit SSL encrypted checkout to protect private data. shelf / life ensures that your information and your order data is hidden from prying eyes both during and after transactions.

Transactions via PayPal are protected with advanced encryption technology. This means your sensitive financial data isn't available to anyone.

How is my order shipped and how long will it take to receive it?

Orders placed online with shelf / life are shipped via Australia Post. Orders with a value of $10 or greater are shipped via Registered Post. This ensures that each package can be tracked and a signature is required upon delivery. Please allow 2 – 7 business days to receive your goods if you are within Australia. International post can take between 5 – 15 business days depending on the country. Shipping costs will vary depending on weight and size of order.

How is my order packaged?

All items, excluding greeting cards, ordered from shelf / life will arrive in a protective layer of tissue paper. We take great care in packaging your order with a mix of recycled bubble wrap and recycled packing peanuts where necessary. Wherever possible we will also re-use packaging such as boxes and
mailer bags. 

Do you gift wrap?

If you would like your purchase to be gift wrapped please note this in the comments section upon checkout. Your order will be wrapped using black tissue paper and a shelf / life sticker, with an outer layer of brown Kraft paper and coloured twine.


Do you ship internationally?

You can order our products online to be shipped to Australia and New Zealand. If you would like items shipped to other countries please email us at info[at]shelflife.com.au to request a shipping quote.

Why does my item look slightly different to the picture online?

The majority of our products are made or assembled by hand using natural materials. For this reason there will be slight variations in colour, size and shape. Variations of this nature are what make objects unique.

At shelf / life we aim to capture the products in our images as faithfully as possible and also try to be as detailed as we can when describing each product to ensure our customers are fully informed.

What is your Returns Policy?

Thank you for shopping online at shelf / life. We hope that you are happy with your order. We take great care in ensuring your goods have been thoroughly checked for any damage prior to delivery. However, if an item you have ordered is found to be faulty upon delivery please notify us via email within 2 days of receipt. If faulty or damaged during shipping the item will be replaced.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please notify us via email within 2 days of receipt. You may return the item to us as long as it has not been used and is in its original packaging with all tags and stickers intact within 14 days of dispatch. In the event of return or exchange the cost of return freight is the responsibility of the customer. Goods must be returned via registered mail as shelf / life will not be held responsible for goods missing in transit. Please ensure your receipt is enclosed with the goods. Please allow at least two weeks from the day you return your package for your account to be credited. No refund or exchange on sale items unless the item is flawed or damaged. Change of mind refunds or exchanges cannot be offered on jewellery or body products.

What is your Privacy Policy?

At shelf / life we take your privacy seriously. We will not disclose any of your personal information to third parties. Your personal details will be used to fulfil your order only and will not be used for any other purposes.

You have the choice to opt in for email marketing if you would like to keep up to date with news regarding shelf / life products. You can choose to unsubscribe at any time if you change your mind.

What currency am I shopping in? And what about taxes?

All products sold online at shelf / life are priced in AUD and GST is included in the price.
